John Beecroft

John is a widely-experienced executive who joined MLG after extensive success in bringing about improvement in roles from Transport Foreman to Chief Executive of a $100M Division of one of the world’s major food equipment manufacturers.

A Chartered Engineer with a degree in Production Engineering, John’s early career was spent in Baker Perkins developing his man-management skills in roles from foreman through Production Control Manager to Divisional Superintendent. He then joined Simon-Vicars, one of the two largest biscuit processing plants in the world, as Works Manager responsible for all production operations and for industrial relations. After extensive success he moved to Operations Director and then Managing Director of Henry Simon Ltd. As Managing Director of the UK operation within the Sasib group, John took sales and profits to new heights and was given responsibility for other units in Italy, Denmark and the USA.

Since joining MLG John combines consultancy with training and interim management. In some cases applying the experience of manufacturing (particularly buiness process improvement and change management) to other organisations including local councils. He has also been acting as coach (or mentor) to individuals within client organisations.

A father of two grown-up and well-qualified children, John is the proud owner of a Classic UK motor car.
